Terms & refunds

Buy it once. Keep it forever. Change your mind within 14 days.

We’ve kept this short on purpose. Maali is a one-time purchase of software that runs on your own computer, so the terms can afford to be simple.

What you’re buying

  • One payment, no subscription. Your purchase covers the Maali app and a full year of updates from the day you buy.
  • Yours to keep. After that year, the app and every update you received keep working forever. Nothing expires, nothing locks, and your data is ordinary files on your own Mac either way.
  • Updates after the first year are optional. If you want to keep receiving new versions, you can renew updates for a smaller yearly amount. If you don’t, you simply keep using what you have.

Refunds

14 days, no questions asked. If Maali isn’t for you, email support@maali.app within 14 days of purchase and we’ll refund you in full. You don’t need to give a reason, and since your data never left your Mac, there’s nothing to delete on our end. Uninstalling removes everything.

Your license

One license covers your household: you and the people you live with, on the computers in your home. You don’t need to count Macs or buy seats. Please don’t share your license outside your household or resell it.

The honest fine print

  • Provided as-is. We work hard to make Maali accurate and reliable, but like all software it’s provided without warranties, and we can’t accept liability for decisions made using it. Check important numbers against your bank’s own records.
  • Not financial advice. Maali organizes and describes your own data, including with AI-written summaries. It isn’t a financial adviser, and nothing it shows or writes is investment, tax, or legal advice.
  • Your data, your responsibility, your benefit. Because everything lives on your Mac, we never hold your data, which also means we can’t recover it for you. Maali keeps automatic local backups (see the help page), and we recommend a backup system like Time Machine for your whole Mac.

Changes and contact

If these terms ever change, the date at the top changes, and material changes will be announced before they apply to you. Questions about any of this: support@maali.app.
