Maali's local AI

Maali uses a tested local model (Gemma 4 E4B) for Ask, the written commentary, and reading your bank CSV formats. It runs entirely on this computer: your data and your AI never leave the machine. Nothing here is required: the tables, charts, imports, and totals all work without it (only the written commentary and Ask need it).

A custom model is configured. Model: gemma-4-e4b Maali is tuned for Gemma 4 E4B.

Covers the headlines on Today, the “What I noticed” feed, per-category and year commentary, the Compare note, and Ask. Turn it off to silence them all: your tables, charts, and numbers are unaffected, and your model setup is kept.
